DES MOINES, Iowa — A portion of E. Broadway Avenue is back open following a crash that seriously injured one person on Friday.
The Des Moines Police Department said its officers and the Des Moines Fire Department responded to the crash. It happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. and temporarily closed the 4700 block of E. Broadway.

Police said callers reported a vehicle left the road, struck a tree, and then caught fire.
