DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa State Fair says it will offer more than half a million dollars’ worth of free entertainment across multiple stages from Aug. 13-23.
All performances are included with gate admission. The lineup features rock, country, tribute acts and family-friendly shows that will run past sunset each night.
The Susan Knapp Amphitheater, sponsored by Prairie Meadows, will host nightly headliners starting at 7 or 8 p.m. Montgomery Gentry featuring Eddie Montgomery performs Aug. 14, followed by Moon Taxi on Aug. 15. Rock tribute band Hairball takes the stage Aug. 17-18, and the Eli Young Band closes out Aug. 21…
