DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department says one person died in a crash that closed an exit ramp from I-235 on Tuesday morning.
Sgt. Paul Parizek, Public Information Officer for the DMPD, said officers and the Des Moines Fire Department responded to the I-235 exit ramp at E. University Avenue just before 7:00 a.m. on a report of a crash with injury.
When crews arrived at the crash, they found a Chevy Colorado pick-up truck that had crashed into a concrete bridge support. Sgt. Parizek said the only occupant of the truck, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased man has not been released…
