Some changes may be coming to a busy street on the northwest side of Ames, with a goal of improving safety, bicycle traffic and parking.
The City of Ames plans to reduce Stange Road in Somerset to one lane in each direction between Northridge Parkway and Aspen Road. The estimated $658,745 in changes will make way for a dedicated bicycle lane, a four-way stop and a separate parking area.
