Dearborn completes $29.2 million parks initiative with opening of third greenspace

DEARBORN, MI- Dearborn officials celebrated the opening of the city’s third and final PEACE Park on Wednesday, June 3, marking the completion of a $29.2 million initiative aimed at expanding access to parks, recreation and green infrastructure across the city.

The newest park, located at 1911 Salina St. in Dearborn’s Southend, is the final addition to the city’s Park Equity and Access for Civil Engagement, or PEACE, Project. The grant-funded initiative included the construction of three new parks and improvements to existing outdoor recreation facilities throughout Dearborn.
