Mark your calendars for July 17-19 for the Thunder Over Michigan air show at Willow Run Airport. This air show corresponds with America’s 250th anniversary theme, with the Royal Air Force Red Arrows, the British aerobatic team, as a highlight. This nine-jet formation act hasn’t visited the United States since 2019, so it’s a rare treat for Wayne County residents.
“They came all the way over to the United States just performing five shows in America this year in honor of America 250,” said Jordan Hanhilammi of the Thunder Over Michigan marketing team, according to Click On Detroit. “They haven’t been here since 2019, and so this is one of only five shows that they’re performing at, and it’s going to be really, really cool.”
In addition to the Royal Air Force Red Arrows, a USAF F-16 demonstration jet painted in red, white, and blue, the Jack Aces P-51 demo team, a USMC MV-22 Osprey demo team, and more will also perform during the three-day event…
