Full lineup, new stage setup announced for 2026 Detroit Jazz Fest

DETROIT – Detroit Jazz Fest organizers unveiled the 2026 festival’s full lineup on Monday, along with a new downtown footprint surrounding Hart Plaza.

The four-day festival, taking place this year from Sept. 4-7, is the world’s largest free jazz festival, drawing more than 300,000 music fans to the city over Labor Day weekend each year — with approximately 26% of attendees coming from out of state.

In its 47th year, the festival will be “fully centered” around Hart Plaza, where all three main stages — the Carhartt Amphitheater Stage, Pyramid Stage and Absopure Waterfront Stage — will be consolidated to create a more accessible and immersive environment and to improve safety and the flow of foot traffic, organizers said…
