DETROIT — Detroit’s Board of Ethics is considering as one of the candidates to lead its investigation into the city’s chief legal officer the former federal prosecutor who helped to convict former Mayor Kwame Kiltpatrick.
Former prosecutor Michael Bullotta; Alicia Skillman, the former executive director of the city’s ethics board; and the law firm of Mogill, Lemanski and Gerometta, PLLC, are candidates under review to lead the investigation against Conrad Mallet Jr. for possible conflicts, said Christal Phillips, executive director of the ethics board.
