Detroit’s Mom’s Market Fights Food Insecurity With Weekly Free Food Fair

Mom’s Market feeds 700 to 800 people each week. The operation runs on Lenore Avenue in northwest Detroit.

Every Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m., the doors open. Families arrive. They leave with bags of free groceries and bellies full from hot meals.
