Patriots legend has blunt take on Lions’ controversial call in NFC Championship

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is known for making some crazy calls this season.

But they have mostly worked out and have led the team to the NFC Championship.

However, he made another controversial call once again during the game and this time it didn’t work out. So because of that, the head coach has received a lot of criticism on social media.

But one Patriots legend had a different take on the matter.

Julian Edelman posted on X , formerly known as Twitter, and expressed his opinion on the play.

“Tough to change doing what got you here, but those 3 points would be nice to have right now,” he wrote

In the third quarter, and with a 14 point lead over the 49ers, Campbell elected to have the Lions go for it on 4th & 2 instead of taking the three points. They were on San Franscico’s 28-yard line, but decided to go for more points.

However, Jared Goff was unable to connect with wide receiver Josh Reynolds and the Lions turned it over on downs.
