Police looking for man in black Canada Goose coat in connection with homicide on Detroit’s east side

DETROIT (WWJ) — Police are asking for tips as they search for a suspect in a murder last weekend on Detroit’s east side.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, police said the victim was in a car in the 5000 block of E. Outer Dr., when the suspect and two other people approached.

The suspect pointed a gun at the victim — identified as a man in his 20s — and the victim was shot while trying to drive away, police said.

The victim then crashed into a parked vehicle.

He died of his injuries.

The suspect, who was caught on a surveillance camera, is described as a male last seen wearing a black Canada Goose coat with brown fur, a black sweater and black and red Jordan 11 sneakers.

There is no information about a motive for this shooting.
