Residences at Water Square, a 25-story riverfront development that occupies the site of the former Joe Louis Arena in downtown Detroit, has opened.
The 496-apartment community, located along the Riverwalk, is Detroit’s first, all-glass residential high-rise building. The apartments are comprised of studios, one-bedroom units, and two-bedroom penthouses (the latter on the 25th floor).
All units feature 10-foot floor-to-ceiling windows that provide views of the Detroit River and the city skyline. The development also features an all-season pool with an outdoor sun deck, a rooftop terrace, and sky lounges. Additional amenities include a fitness center, a dog wash, indoor bicycle storage, available valet parking, and soon to open retail options.
“We are ready to welcome our first residents to their new homes” says Danny Samson, chief development officer of Sterling Group in Detroit. “This is a new standard for downtown and riverfront living in Detroit. Our goal was to create something that didn’t exist in this market until now. Every design choice we made, every amenity we added, was about giving our residents a truly unique living experience.”
