Michigan district alarmed by surge of marijuana and edibles in schools

DETROIT – A rapidly increasing number of marijuana incidents prompted a Detroit school district to ask for state intervention. Detroit Public Schools Community District Superintendent Nikolai Vitti wrote a letter to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and state lawmakers Thursday, May 2 to raise the alarm about the “proliferation and consumption of marijuana edibles and vape pens.”
