Detroit police looking for suspect who fled scene of armed robbery on Woodward in white Ford Fusion

DETROIT (WWJ) — Police in Detroit are asking for help from the community finding an armed robbery suspect.

Detroit police officials on Friday released photos of a man inside a store. They say he’s responsible for an armed robbery on Thursday, July 18 in the 9400 block of Woodward Avenue — just south of Chicago Boulevard near the Arden Park neighborhood.

Authorities have not released many details about the robbery, including whether it took place inside the store or if it happened nearby.

The suspect, seen in the surveillance photos wearing a black jacket, black pants and a black hat over short dreadlocks, allegedly fled the scene in a white Ford Fusion, according to police.

Officials did not report any injuries during the robbery.
