11-year-old girl who was missing for a week in Detroit has been recovered, police say

DETROIT (WWJ) — The Detroit Police Department says an 11-year-old girl who was reported missing by her family a week ago is back home safe.

According to police, Maleanie Joyner left her home on Englewood, near Woodward Ave., on Monday, Sept. 9.

One week later, on the night of Sept. 16, police sent an update stating that the child has been recovered.

Police did not say where she was found, or who she was with, and no further information was released.
