Livonia signs $37 million contract with Priority Waste; residents to get new trash carts

LIVONIA – Officials hope the rollout of new trash and recycling carts leads to cleaner streets as the city enters a $37 million contract with Priority Waste. The Livonia City Council on Sept. 23 approved the new five-year contract with Priority, which earlier this year began providing refuse service in Livonia and more than 70 other municipalities previously serviced by GFL Environmental.
