Jared Goff and Geno Smith took the field for a thrilling duel on Monday night as the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks faced off in a primetime Monday Night Football matchup.
Goff got the better of Smith in this duel, finishing the game with 292 yards and two touchdowns on a ridiculous 18/18 passing. The Lions QB also reeled in a touchdown catch on a pass from wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Smith finished the Seahawks’ first loss of the season with 395 yards and a touchdown on 38/56 passing. His lone interception came on Seattle’s final offensive play of the game.
The Lions came out on top with a 29-42 final score.
Goff and Smith met for a postgame handshake on Ford Field following this thrilling matchup of excellent quarterback play.
It’s clear these two QBs share a great deal of mutual respect.
