CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — A Michigan man will serve more than 12 years in federal prison for conspiring to distribute meth in Monongalia County.
Shakur Jones, 25, of Detroit, Michigan, was sentenced to 151 months (12 years and seven months) in federal prison and three years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia.
Jones pleaded guilty on those charges back in August . According to the release, Jones was a meth, cocaine base and fentanyl supplier for a drug trafficking conspiracy in Monongalia County. During the investigation, more than a kilogram of meth was found in a Morgantown residence and a photo of 10 pounds of prepackaged meth was found on Jones’ phone, the release said.

Also in the case, Nolan Eickleberry, 27, of Morgantown; John Thomas 46, of Morgantown; and Dorian Myles, 26, of Detroit, Michigan have pleaded guilty. Eickleberry was previously sentenced to 87 months (Seven years and three months), and Thomas and Myles are still awaiting sentencing.
