DETROIT (WWJ) — A man is reportedly fighting for his life after being shot in the head during an apparent road rage incident on Detroit’s west side Thursday afternoon.
The shooting happened on Joy Road near Schaefer Highway, according to a report from Fox 2.
Police officials say the victim was rushed to the hospital in “very critical condition,” according to the report.
A police spokesperson confirmed the shooting and told WWJ Newsradio 950’s Luke Sloan the suspect had turned himself in.
The spokesperson, however, could not confirm whether it was a road rage shooting and said the motive and circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
No information on the suspect or victim’s identities has been released.
