Apple announces plans for an Apple Manufacturing Academy in Detroit, part of $500 billion investment in U.S.

DETROIT (WWJ) — While working to expand its work on artificial intelligence technology, Apple has plans for a new facility here in Michigan.

The tech giant says it plans to spend more than $500 billion nationwide over the next four years , including opening an Apple Manufacturing Academy in Detroit.

At the Detroit facility, plans call for Apple engineers to work closely with experts from local universities, including Michigan State, to teach small and midsize businesses how to implement AI. The public will also be able to take free classes, in-person and online, about project management and manufacturing…
