Michigan: Snack Sold at Meijer & Kroger Recalled For Allergens

As someone who has no food allergies, I couldn’t imagine the stress of having to manage your allergens while trying to eat. Also, I have tons of sympathy for parents, guardians, and other childcare providers who have to navigate this for those children. It’s a scary situation when someone eats something that contains something they are allergic to.

This is one of the many reasons that ingredients have to be listed on products, especially food products which could have been made with the same materials that the allergens came in contact with. For the most part those people and their families find a system that keeps themselves safe, but sometimes some products slip through the cracks.

That’s exactly what happened with this snack that was sold in stores all across Michigan. Meijer and Kroger are two grocery stores who have a heavy presence in the Midwest but more importantly in the Mitten state.
