Michigan State Police searching for freeway shooter at large after two cars were shot up on I-96 early Friday

(WWJ) A suspect is on the run after allegedly shooting at cars on a Detroit-area freeway, early Friday morning.

Michigan State Police say the shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. on March 14, along eastbound I-96 at the Davison. Troopers responded after 911 calls came in from drivers reporting saying they heard four of five shots fired in the area.

According to MSP investigators, two drivers came to the 10th Precinct shortly after the shooting, saying their cars had been hit; one by a single bullet, and the other by several rounds…
