I learned to drive on dirt roads in Jackson County, Michigan, so my introduction to truly chaotic intersections wouldn’t be until I moved to downtown Detroit in my late 20s. They don’t do anything slowly when it comes to driving there, so it’s no surprise that Wayne County has more entries than any other on Michigan Auto Law’s 11 Intersections with the Most Crashes Countdown.
If your experience with Michigan’s intersections is limited to longer-than-average lights or four-way stops where people smile and wave the other car through, you obviously haven’t been in any of the state’s largest metros during a rush hour (or any other time).
