Man charged with making false bomb threats to Mount Clemens homeless shelter

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – Aramis Marquis Smith, 33, from Detroit, has been charged with reporting false bomb threats to the Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team’s (MCREST) building in Mount Clemens.

Police said on June 7, Smith allegedly used a TextNow number to call MCREST and said, “You need to leave; there may be a bomb in the building.”

Officials said two bomb-sniffing K-9 units conducted a search of the MCREST building in Mount Clemens and determined there was no bomb present…
