DETROIT – A jury has acquitted a Detroit man of shooting a 7-year-old Inkster boy in the chest, The Detroit News reports.
Antwon Williams was charged with assault with intent to commit great bodily harm, discharge of a weapon in a building causing injury, careless discharge of a weapon and three counts of felony firearm, the report said. Prosecutors alleged he was holding a gun that went off and struck the child in the chest during July 2024; the child was non-fatally injured.
