Michigan Weather Alert: Damaging Winds and Torrential Rain Expected in SE Michigan from 1–7 p.m. Today

Detroit, Michigan – Numerous thunderstorms are expected to sweep through southeast Michigan between 1 and 7 p.m. today, bringing the threat of damaging winds and localized flooding during the evening commute.

According to the National Weather Service in Detroit, a cold front will move across the region this afternoon, triggering scattered thunderstorms capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and torrential downpours. The strongest storms are expected along the I-94 corridor and into the Detroit metro area.
