Alleged Venezuelan gang member arrested during Metro Detroit traffic stop

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI – An immigrant alleged to be a member of the Tren De Aragua gang was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents during a recent traffic stop in Metro Detroit.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, agents from the CBP Marysville station responded to a request for assistance on Wednesday, July 23, from authorities in Shelby Township. The agency alleges the vehicle was occupied by three Venezuelan nationals, and that the vehicle displayed a fraudulent license plate.
