Detroit police searching for gunmen in black pickup truck who shot 2 kids asleep in their beds in their home

DETROIT (WWJ) — Detroit police are searching for two armed suspects at large after a drive-by shooting sent two small children to a hospital, early Thursday morning.

According to investigators, the kids — an 8-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl — were asleep in their beds in their home on Arcola Street, near Van Dyke and Lynch, west of City Airport.

Police said two men pulled up in a black pickup truck and began shooting at the house, spraying bullets that went through the walls and hit the children, who were in an upstairs bedroom…
