Officer spots woman struggling to mow her yard, returns to help after 12-hour shift

WYANDOTTE, Mich. (WXYZ) – A Michigan police officer went above and beyond the call of duty when he saw an older woman struggling to mow her lawn then returned after his 12-hour shift to completely transform her yard.

Officer Jonathan Cox with Wyandotte Police was out on patrol when he saw Dory Oliver pushing a lawn mower with one hand and balancing on her walker with the other.

“She just looked like she needed help that day, and when I stopped to ask her, she allowed me to help her,” Cox said…
