Two charged for alleged roles in running a chop shop operation near Detroit

WAYNE, MI — Two men were charged last week in the 29th District Court in Wayne, for their alleged roles in running a Detroit-area chop shop.

Mohamad El-Hadi, 41, of Canton, the owner of Hadi’s Cash for Cars, is charged with one count of operating a chop shop, a 10-year felony, and three counts of stolen property — receiving and and concealing a motor vehicle, each a five-year felony.

Dani Mourad, 44, of Dearborn Heights, an employee of El-Hadi’s, has been charged with one count of stolen property — receiving and and concealing a motor vehicle…
