Man sentenced in Oscoda County CSCs

OSCODA COUNTY – Robert Allen DeClercq, 72, of Grosse Pointe, was sentenced yesterday to 25 to 60 years in prison by Judge Cassandra Morse-Bills in 23rd Circuit Court in Mio, according to a statement from Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced. An Oscoda County jury convicted DeClercq in May on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Prosecutors said DeClercq assaulted a female minor relative in 2020 in the bathroom of his secondary residence in Oscoda County.

“Sexual assault survivors deserve to see their abusers held accountable, and this sentencing demonstrates our ongoing commitment to justice,” Nessel said. “My office will continue to support victims and ensure perpetrators face the consequences of their actions.”…
