Four Suspects Charged After Stolen Vehicle Chase and Crash in Rochester Hills

ROCHESTER HILLS, MICHIGAN – Four men have been charged following a police chase involving a stolen vehicle that ended in a crash and foot pursuit in Rochester Hills last week, according to FOX 2 Detroit .

Chase Ends in Crash and Foot Pursuit

The incident began around 6 a.m. Thursday when deputies responded to a vehicle break-in report. When officers attempted to intervene, the suspects fled in a stolen car.

The chase ended near Livernois and Avon roads, where the suspects crashed before fleeing on foot. With the assistance of K9 units and aerial drones, deputies quickly apprehended all four men.

Sheriff Praises Law Enforcement Efforts

Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard praised the coordinated police response, highlighting the role of advanced technology and teamwork.

“This case is an excellent example of teamwork and the use of our specialized resources to protect the community,” Bouchard said in a statement to Mid Michigan Now .

Charges Filed Against Four Suspects

Authorities identified the defendants as Dayvion Young, Myles Pringle, Tyron Renfro, and Jaden Franklin. Their charges include:

  • Resisting and obstructing a police officer
  • Receiving and concealing stolen property
  • Stealing or retaining a financial transaction device
