Man who stabbed 4 people at pool party was angry someone danced with his girlfriend

A Detroit man accused of fatally stabbing two people and injuring two others at a pool party last month was arraigned today.

Prosecutors say this all started after 31-year-old Daiwan Hobson allegedly became angry after someone danced with his girlfriend, leading to an argument that escalated into violence.

According to the court arraignment, Hobson allegedly pulled out a knife he had been carrying throughout the party and stabbed four people. Two victims, 25-year-old Martisha Payne of Detroit and 31-year-old Jakirea Williams of Chesterfield Township, later died from their injuries. A 31-year-old man from Pontiac and a 40-year-old man from Detroit were also stabbed but survived…
