DEARBORN – Murtadha Jabbar Alizairij, 38, of Dearborn was charged with deliberately striking a pedestrian, Haider Al Fadawi, 40, of Dearborn who was crossing Michigan Avenue the night of Aug. 23 near Howe Street.
The men, who had known each other for years, reportedly had financial disputes between their families.
While Alizairij fled after the 10:45 p.m. hit-and-run, he later called police officers from his home, admitted his involvement and was subsequently arrested, police said…
