Michigan Man, 48, Accused of Pistol-Whipping 62-Year-Old Girlfriend and Firing Gun Inside Car

TAYLOR, Michigan — A 48-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly pistol-whipping his 62-year-old girlfriend and firing a gun inside his vehicle during a violent confrontation late last month, authorities said.

The suspect, Bradly Carl Dickens, has been charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, domestic violence, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.

Attack Began at Victim’s Home

The incident occurred on August 30 around 11:30 a.m., beginning at the woman’s home on the 15200 block of Kerstyn Street in Taylor, a city just southeast of Detroit.

Prosecutors allege that Dickens attacked his girlfriend, then forced her into his vehicle against her will.

Violence Escalates Inside Vehicle
