A disturbing series of incidents unfolded last Friday night in Warren as a woman reportedly struck multiple people with her vehicle. According to FOX 2 Detroit, the suspect was driving a black 2019 Jeep Compass with a child inside and purposefully hit individuals at various locations along Van Dyke Avenue, north of 12 Mile Road.
The frenzy occurred between 10:52 p.m. and 11:22 p.m., and saw at least five people getting injured across four different scenes, including a restaurant, a liquor store, a hotel, and eventually a Walmart parking lot. It was in the Walmart lot where the driver attempted to continue her onslaught, but it resulted in only property damage. Audacy reported that the erratic behavior escalated as the woman then bit and kicked a police officer while being arrested.
Fortunately, no police or bystanders sustained serious injuries. The woman’s child was also reported unhurt and has since been released to family members. While the motivations behind the woman’s actions remain under scrutiny, authorities suspect she may have been experiencing a mental health crisis at the time of the incident…
