Man on parole for bank robbery charged in Metro Detroit stabbing of 3 family members

PLYMOUTH, MI – A 23-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly stabbing his mother and two siblings earlier this week at a home in Metro Detroit.

Derek Alesmaily was arraigned Thursday, Oct. 16, on nine charges, including three counts of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon, in Wayne County District Court in Plymouth.
