Eastpointe man arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot up elementary school, upset his child didn’t get ‘snack time’

EASTPOINTE (WWJ) — An Eastpointe man is facing criminal charges after police say he went into a rage in a dispute over school snack time.

Eastpointe Police officers responded at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, to a call about a shooting threat at Pleasantview Elementary, on Toepfer Dr., east of Gratiot.

An investigation found that a parent, upset that his child didn’t get “snack time” that day, had confronted the teacher at dismissal time…
