Father threatened Michigan school after child not given snack: Police

A Michigan man allegedly threatened a school after he became upset because his child wasn’t given a snack during “snack time,” according to WDIV, the NBC affiliate in in Detroit.

David Scott, Jr., 43, was arraigned on the following charges:

  • Weapons – Ammunition – Possession by a Prohibited Person, a 5-year felony
  • Schools – Intentional Threat to Commit Act of Violence Against School, School Employees, or Students, a 1-year misdemeanor
  • Disorderly Person – Obscene Conduct, a 90-day misdemeanor

Authorities said Scott also has a habitual offender — fourth offense notice, which is an aggravating sentencing factor.

According to prosecutors, Scott arrived at Pleasantview Elementary School in Eastpointe at dismissal time on Wednesday and was upset his child didn’t receive a snack at “snack time.” Eastpointe is roughly 12 miles northeast of downtown Detroit…
