Gov. Gretchen Whitmer recently announced that 39 villages and small cities across Michigan, including several in Metro Detroit, will receive grants to improve local roads.
These communities, each with fewer than 10,000 residents, will benefit from funding through the Community Service Infrastructure Fund (CSIF) Category B program.
Projects receiving grants were chosen based on several criteria, including being paired with planned infrastructure work and coordinated with other road agencies. The chosen projects are also focused on “extending the useful life of the road” and have limited access to other funds…
