Innocent driver in critical condition after a crash involving a stolen Dodge Challenger, police say they ended chase before crash

DETROIT (WWJ) A crash, following a police chase on Detroit’s northwest side, leaves an innocent driver in critical condition.

Southfield police say officers spotted a Dodge Challenger shortly after it was reported stolen around 3 a.m. Friday morning.  Officers tried to make a traffic stop near Eight Mile and Northland Drive, but the suspect sped away.

Southfield police say the chase ended shortly after the suspect drove into Detroit on Lahser Road, but the suspect crashed into another car at Lahser and Grand River…
