A Roseville babysitter has received a life sentence without the possibility of parole following her conviction for the murder of a 22-month-old child she was watching. As reported by CBS News Detroit, 24-year-old Kimora Launmei Hodges was also sentenced yesterday to serve an additional 15 to 40 years for first-degree child abuse.
Hodges, who had been babysitting the victim, a boy named Kyrie, “physically harmed” him on June 13, 2022, causing severe injuries that led to his death at an area hospital. The macabre details of the event include subdural hemorrhage and bilateral retinal hemorrhages, as noted by Macomb County prosecutors, per ClickOnDetroit.
