Detroit Man Charged With Robbing Banks in Ann Arbor, Ferndale

A 68-year-old Detroit man has been charged in a series of bank robberies across Southeast Michigan.

On Nov. 11, Ferndale police responded to a robbery at First Merchants Bank on Woodward Avenue around 1:10 p.m. Bank employees told officers that a man handed a teller a note demanding cash before fleeing with about $400. No one was injured.
