Detroit Man Charged in Federal Court After Series of Shootings, Linked by Ballistic Evidence

A series of shootings that terrorized Detroit has led to the arrest and federal charges of Terrance Markyce Davis, who is allegedly connected to at least eight separate incidents. According to FOX 2 Detroit, the shootings spanned over two days this month – November 5 and November 12 – with varying targets including occupied homes and vehicles. Davis’s apprehension came after a chase and subsequent shooting by Detroit police.

ClickOnDetroit reports that seven of the shootings were linked by comparing 9mm cartridge casings found at the scenes; in one case, no casings were found, but a vehicle description led authorities to suspect Davis. The shell casings were entered into the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network, confirming their connection to the string of shootings.

One of the chilling accounts came from Ayania Garrett, whose home was shot up while she and her six children were inside. She recounted to WXYZ the terrifying moment, saying, “I felt the glass hit like my leg, and then I felt something hit my leg, and it was sharp.
