TAYLOR, MI – A Detroit man accused of stealing a Jeep Grand Cherokee has been taken into custody after allegedly fleeing from the scene of a hit-and-run in Taylor.
The vehicle was reported stolen to Wayne State University Police on Friday, Nov. 21, and the 23-year-old suspect was arrested around 9:30 p.m. the same day, according to a statement Michigan State Police (MSP) posted on X along with a video of the arrest.
After learning that the suspect had fled from the Dearborn Police Department, an MSP trooper located the suspect and reported the movements of the vehicle to the Detroit Regional Communication Center, police said…
