Man accused of hitting principal, school safety officer with vehicle at Jr. High School in Sterling Heights

(WWJ) A Macomb County man, accused of hitting a school safety officer and principal with his car, faces two count of assault with a dangerous weapon charges.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s office filed the charges against Lemuel Young, 45, last Friday, a day after he allegedly hit the safety officer and principal at Bemis Jr. High School in Sterling Heights.

Investigators say vehicles were blocking the bus lane at the school. When the safety officer asked Young to move his vehicle, he refused.  When the officer walked in front of the car, Young moved forward hitting the officer’s legs…
