LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Detroit and its residents have been ranked as the neediest in the U.S., according to a new WalletHub report.
The level of need was calculated using metrics such as child poverty rate, adult poverty rate, unemployment rate, homelessness rate, food insecurity rate, and uninsured rate.
WalletHub compared 182 cities, including 150 of the most populous and at least two from each state, across two categories, Economic Well-Being and Health & Safety.
