Piece by Piece: Trenton’s puzzle teams turn library time into a community tradition

On a Saturday afternoon at Trenton Veterans Memorial Library, the quiet hum of pages turning gives way to something a little more animated: the rustle of wrapping paper, the scrape of chair legs, and the low buzz of friendly trash talk. Ten teams – families, coworkers and groups of friends – gather around tables, each with a mystery box in front of them.

At precisely 2 p.m., librarian Jacqueline Meyers gives the signal.
