Griz raises over $200K for music education in Detroit with annual Grizmas

Griz’ GRiZMAS raised more than $200,000 for Detroit youth music education, marking another milestone for the long-running holiday charity initiative.

This year’s GRiZMAS generated $203,757 for kids’ music education in Detroit, with funds benefiting Seven Mile Music. The total underscores how GRiZMAS has grown from a hometown concert into a major community-driven effort rooted in giving back.

Held December 9–20, the 12 Days of GRiZMAS featured a series of community gatherings, charitable events, and activations across the city. For example, on day 3, GRiZMAS hosted an open mic night event, while day 6 consisted of community yoga. Finally, to close out the event series on days 11 and 12, Griz took the stage for the official GRiZMAS parties.
