Woman sentenced in speeding crash that killed 2 at Detroit bus stop

DETROIT – A 34-year-old woman from Detroit will spend years in jail for a crash that killed two people who were sitting at a bus stop.

It happened just before 7 p.m. on April 25, 2025, near the intersection of Evergreen Road and Fenkell Avenue. Police said a southbound SUV was speeding when the driver lost control and drove into the northbound lanes before hitting the bus stop and slamming into a gas station.
